Coming-of-Age Milestones — Ages 12–14
MILESTONE MAKEOVER.
Milestone Makeover guides young people in transforming a meaningful coming-of-age milestone — across any faith or tradition — into a deeply personal service journey that honors their beliefs, values, and emerging voice.
What It Is
- Monthly 1:1 creative mentorship with Mannikka
- You choose the project, set the timeline, decide how to share it
- Work that's meant to reach real people — not sit in a portfolio
- A small number of spots, kept small on purpose
- The Lupine Scholarship Fund, for members who can't pay
What It's Not
- Not a class
- Not a club
- Not a resume-builder you don't actually care about
- Not a program that talks at you instead of with you
WHAT IT ACTUALLY IS
The Society, Defined
You know what's in your head. Let's get it out. This isn't a class. It isn't a club. It's a space built around one person — you.
THREE WAYS IN
FIND YOUR PATHWAY
Every member enters through one of three doors. None of them is more "ready" than the others.
I Know What I Want To Create
You know what's in your head. Let's get it out. For teens with a specific project already forming.
I Want To Explore Different Things
You don't know what you're making yet. Good. Neither did we. For teens who are curious but haven't landed yet.
I Just Want a Place to Belong and Create
Some of the best work gets made in community. This is yours. For teens who need the room more than the roadmap.
WHAT WE OFFER
WHATS INCLUDED
Some. Not all. Of what you receive participating in the Unfinished Society
-
Your teen will work directly with a mentor to chart their project vision, identify key milestones, and create an actionable route forward. We meet them where they are—whether they arrive with a clear destination or need help discovering what they want to explore—and guide them through every stage of the journey.
-
Students meet with their mentor every week to stay on course, troubleshoot obstacles, refine their work, and celebrate the landmarks they reach. Our structure strikes a balance between independence and guidance, allowing students to develop both their project and their capacity for self-direction.
-
Teens receive access to our Red Bank studio—a dedicated basecamp where they can create, collaborate, and focus. Depending on the project, this may include recording equipment, design software, materials, or other tools available at the studio.
-
We teach transferable skills specific to each expedition: interviewing and audio editing for podcasters, visual design for content creators, and project management for all. Our mentors provide hands-on guidance with the tools and platforms your teen needs to execute their vision professionally.
